Installations, and moving to a new machine

A purchase follows a person, not a computer. Two installations each, replaced by you when a machine changes or is lost.

A purchase belongs to a person. Each person, on Pro and on every Studio seat, can be signed in on 2 installations at a time: a laptop and a desktop, say. An installation is the plugin on one computer, and it is created the first time you sign in there.

Moving to a new machine

Sign in on the new machine. If both of your installations are in use, the plugin offers to replace one of them. The one you replace can no longer refresh, so it returns to free.

If the old machine is gone

Lost, wiped, or a laptop you handed back: you don’t need it. Sign in on the new one and replace the old one there, or open your account page, which lists your installations, and remove the one you no longer have.

Studio seats

Whoever bought Studio invites up to five people by email from the account page, and can remove a person or reassign a seat at any time. A removed person’s installations stop refreshing. The buyer uses a seat only if they give one to themselves.

Working offline

Paid features keep working without a network for 30 days after the plugin last confirmed your purchase. It checks quietly whenever there is a network, so in normal use you never notice. After 30 days offline it asks you to reconnect.

Updates and renewing

A purchase includes every new feature released in the 12 months after it. After that, everything you bought keeps working, in later builds of the plugin too. Features added later are part of a renewal, which is a separate, optional purchase from the pricing page.
