Connect the plugin to your purchase
Sign in once per computer. What the status line means, how long it works offline, and what happens to the things you placed while free.
The free plugin needs no account. A purchase lives on an account, and the plugin unlocks when you sign in to it. There is no licence key to keep or paste.
Steps
- In Figma, run Screengraft and open Settings, the gear at the top right of the workbench.
- Press Continue with Figma. Your browser opens once to confirm it’s you. If you bought with an email address instead, choose the email link.
- Back in the plugin, the status line changes to Pro or Studio, with the date your updates run to. That’s it.
Sign in the same way you did when you bought. If the plugin says the account has no purchase, you are most likely signed in with a different one.
Checking, and working offline
The plugin confirms your purchase when you sign in, then quietly in the background whenever there’s a network. Without one, paid features keep working for 30 days after the last successful check. After that the plugin asks you to reconnect. Your fits and your file are untouched either way.
What changes after connecting
- Place on canvas places at full resolution instead of 1024 px.
- Download and Place on canvas become available for video.
- Anything you placed while free is listed under Placed at 1024 px. Choose Replace at full resolution and the same node’s fill is swapped in place. Nothing moves, nothing is refitted. See placement resolution.
Pro vs Studio
They are the same plugin with the same features. Pro is one person. Studio is five named people, invited by whoever bought it. Everyone gets 2 installations. See installations.
Paid, but the plugin still says Free?
Check that the plugin is signed in with the account you bought with. Some payment methods confirm a little later, and the plugin unlocks when the payment is confirmed. If it is still free after an hour, write to screengraft@fraczyk.design from the address you bought with.
